Warranties
The microscopes distributed by TiendaMicroscopios.com have a 5-year warranty on all optical and mechanical parts. Electronic components have a 3-year warranty. In addition, we are committed to ensuring the availability of spare parts and accessories for microscopes for a minimum of 20 years.
The warranty does not apply to accessories and consumable parts such as bulbs, batteries, fuses, cables, slides, optical components or any additional accessories such as mechanical specimen holders that are not integrated into the microscope stage as part of the original manufacturer, etc. The warranty does not cover microscopes, lenses, cameras or other accessories that have become inoperable due to dirt or damage from misuse or lack of maintenance.
Note: Buyers are responsible for shipping and handling costs for warranty services. Our warranty covers parts and labor only.
Yes. For certain equipment we have the possibility of contracting an extended warranty. You can consult it at info@tiendamicroscopios.com
Products
Of course! Microscopes are highly configurable, and most of them can be modified according to what you see on our website (different heads, objectives, stands, cameras, etc.).
Almost any microscope can accept a camera, even without a trinocular head. With a trinocular head, you need a C-mount adapter to attach the camera to the head. Without a trinocular head, you can either remove an eyepiece and insert an adapter into the eyepiece tube, or you can purchase a camera adapter that fits over the eyepiece.
Monocular microscopes have only one eyepiece, so these heads are simpler and also easier for children to use the microscope with. They are also recommended for hobbyists who only use them one or two hours a week.
When using a monocular microscope, one eye must be closed, so it is advisable to alternate the working eye at regular intervals.
Binocular microscopes have two eyepieces, because viewing specimens with them is much easier and more comfortable, assuming the image in both eyepieces is properly aligned. However, the image is not sharper or brighter than through a monocular because it is split and directed by additional mirrors or prisms in the light path.
Trinocular microscopes have three tube heads. The third tube is generally used for photography and video applications. This head is the most complex and expensive option, so we only recommend it to professionals.
The difference between a compound microscope and a stereo microscope lies mainly in their design and use:
- Compound Microscope :
Use : Used to observe small and thin samples such as cells and tissues. It is ideal for studies in biology and medicine.
Design : It has an optical system that uses multiple lenses (objectives and eyepieces) to obtain high magnification. Generally, the magnification is higher than in a stereo microscope, typically from 40x to 1000x.
Depth of Field : Its depth of field is shallower, meaning that only a very thin layer of the sample will be in focus at a time.
2. Stereoscopic Microscope :
- Use : Used to observe larger, three-dimensional objects such as insects, plants, or geological samples. It is ideal for dissection and sample handling applications.
- Design : Provides 3D viewing due to its two-eyepiece configuration, which allows you to see the depth and structure of objects. Magnification is usually lower, generally between 10x and 40x.
- Depth of Field : It has a greater depth of field, allowing you to focus on several layers of the sample at the same time.
In summary, the compound microscope is best suited for observing microscopic details in thin samples, while the stereo microscope is ideal for viewing larger, three-dimensional objects.
Objectives can be of three types: Achromatic, Semi-Plan and Plan.
Achromatic means that the objective lens is curved therefore the image is also spherical and only the center (approx. 65%) is flat.
In the case of a semi-plan lens, approximately 80% of the lens is flat.
The lens of flat lenses is completely flat and so 100% of the image seen is flat.
First of all we have to differentiate between a Biological Microscope and a Stereo Microscope.
1- Biological Microscope:
In this case, the samples we work with are smaller samples, which normally have to be prepared beforehand. To prepare them, we use a dissection kit that we also sell, or in some cases kits are included. To prepare these samples, adult supervision is required, since tweezers and scissors are used.
These are examples of Biological Microscopes that we believe would be ideal:

2- Stereomicroscope
In this case the samples being viewed are larger samples, such as minerals, insects, coins, everything that requires low magnification. The advantage of a Stereomicroscope is that children can do it alone, without adult supervision. experiment and observe objects without having to manipulate a dissection kit to prepare the samples.

You can easily attach your SLR camera to the microscope. The essential accessories for microphotography with your camera are a photo adapter and a T2 ring.

The total magnification of a microscope is calculated by multiplying the magnification of the selected objective by the magnification of the microscope eyepiece.
For example, the EC.1151 microscope has the following characteristics:
WF10X / 18mm wide field eyepiece
DIN 4X/0.10, 10X/0.25, 40X/0.65 and 100X retractable achromatic objectives
This means that by using the 100x objective, the total magnification of the device is 1000x, which means that the sample has been enlarged 1000 times larger than reality.
It is important to note that magnification is not the only factor that determines image quality. Resolution, which is the microscope's ability to distinguish two separate points, is also critical. In practice, beyond certain magnification levels (around 1000x for most optical microscopes), resolution is affected by limitations of the optical system and the wavelength of visible light, which can make images less clear and defined.
