The MU500-3PL is a 5 MP high-speed microscope camera for still-image capture and live video on Windows, Mac and Linux computers. Windows software includes stitching, extended depth of focus (EDF), video recording, measurement, annotations and image processing. Mac and Linux software supports image and video capture and colour and exposure controls.

Preview and capture resolutions can be set independently, allowing a low-resolution live preview while capturing higher-resolution images or video. The C-mount camera includes a reducing lens and adapters for 23 mm, 30 mm and 30.5 mm microscope ports.
