bScope for Materials Science
bScope® microscopes specific for materials science are specially configured for the observation of all types of materials such as metals, plastics, wood, glass, etc.
These microscopes are widely used in materials research and quality control laboratories.
The bScope® design is ergonomic and evolutionary. WF 10x/22mm widefield eyepieces and low-positioned controls minimize fatigue during long work sessions and therefore provide more comfort for microscopists. The robust and compact size of bScope® together with the cable storage system allow for more workspace, safer operation and easy storage.

HEAD
The bScope® model is equipped with:
- A Siedentopf design head, 360° rotatable
- Eyepiece tubes with 30º inclination
- Correction ± 5 diopters on the left eyepiece tube
- The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 48 and 76 mm
- The trinocular head comes with a Ø 23.2 mm tube, ensuring maximum flexibility.
- The internal prisms of the heads are designed to minimize light absorption and obtain perfect digital images.
- The trinocular head has a light path selector (100:0/0:100) and generates an erect image.

Inward-facing quintuple objective-holder revolver mounted on high-precision ball bearings
GOALS
State-of-the-art production techniques and multi-layer coatings used to manufacture bScope® objectives allow the bScope® to be used for the most demanding applications. High-quality spherical aberration correction and modern CNC assembly technology ensure perfect centering of the objectives.
Infinity corrected IOS plan achromatic M-IOS DIN objectives 5x/0.12, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, 50x/0.70. Optionally, the M-IOS DIN objectives S80x/0.80 and S100x/0.85 are also available. The S80x and S100x objectives are retractable. All optics have anti-mold treatment and anti-reflection coating for maximum light yield.
FOCUS SYSTEM
- Coaxial macro and micrometer. Micrometer with 180 graduations
- Accuracy of 1.1 µm, 200 µm per micrometer rotation, total travel of approximately 19 mm
- Supplied with an adjustable rack stop to prevent damage to the sample and objectives
- The coarse focus is equipped with tension adjustment
PLATEN
- The bScope® is equipped with a scratch-resistant 185 x 140 mm stage with a rackless mechanical XY stand on the X-axis with 74 x 48 mm travel, Vernier scale, removable soft-closing specimen holder
- The rackless X-axis stage has no protruding parts, allowing for smoother movements and is safer in use. The low-position XY control knobs prevent fatigue during long work sessions.

POLARIZATION

NEOLED™ INCIDENT LIGHTING
Dimmable 3 W NeoLED™ Köhler incident illumination with external power supply, removable rotating polarizer and analyzer, condenser with iris diaphragm and field iris diaphragm. Integrated rotating disk with green, blue, yellow and white filters
NEOLED™ TRANSMITTED LIGHTING
Dimmable 3W NeoLED™ Köhler transmitted illumination, with internal 100-240 V power supply making it suitable for worldwide use. The innovative NeoLED™ design offers larger apertures, allowing the bScope® microscope optical system to produce images at higher resolutions, very close to the theoretical diffraction limit of the optics. Other benefits of NeoLED™ are low power consumption, no sample heating, and a long lifetime.
KÖHLER LIGHTING
Köhler illumination guarantees the highest possible contrast and highest achievable resolving power for all models with IOS infinity-corrected objectives. It generates uniform illumination of the specimen and eliminates all interference from lens dust and side glare from the light source.
BATTERY OPTION
Optional rechargeable batteries turn the bScope® into a stand-alone system (only available for transmitted illumination)
CSS - CABLE STORAGE SYSTEM
This system allows users to easily store excess cable in the back of the instrument during operation and coil the power cord for easy storage.
CARRYING HANDLE
The integrated carrying handle on the back of the microscope ensures safe transport of the microscope.
ANTI-THEFT SLOT
A Kensington security slot is located on the back of the microscope, which can be used to protect the instrument from theft.
