Description

Delphi-X Inverse DIC

Differential interference contrast (DIC) set for Delphi-X Inverso Observer life-science models. It includes two DIC prisms with polarizer and three DIC prisms for the microscope nosepiece, for use with the 10x, 20x and 40x Plan Semi-Apo objectives. A DIC analyzer for the nosepiece is also included.

The Delphi-X Inverso™ is an inverted microscope for professional laboratories, ideal for live-cell culture and stained specimens that require detailed results. Two applications are available:

  • Phase contrast and DIC (differential interference contrast)
  • Fluorescence applications

High-contrast Semi-Apochromatic objectives with a numerical-aperture adjustment ring provide clear observation of cells and tissue in Petri dishes or flasks with a 1.2 mm base thickness.

Eyepieces

Pair of DIN HWF 10x/25 or 10x/22 mm eyepieces with diopter adjustment (optional).

Head

Trinocular tube inclined at 45°. Interpupillary distance: 47–78 mm. Photomicrography port with light distribution of 100:0, 80:20 or 0:100.

Revolving nosepiece

Six-position objective nosepiece mounted on ball bearings. It can be fitted with DIC prisms for the 10x/20x and 40x objectives.

Objectives

  • High-numerical-aperture, long-working-distance, infinity-corrected (IOS) Fluarex™ Semi-Apochromatic phase-contrast objectives: PLPHFI 10x/0.30, 20x/0.45 and S40x/0.60, for observing cell structures.
  • 4x/0.13 and 60x/0.70 objectives are also available.
  • The 20x and 40x objectives, and the optional 60x objective, have an adjustment ring for samples with a thickness of 0–1.2 mm.

Fluarex™ objectives are made with low-absorption glass. Fluarex™ is a registered trademark of Euromex Microscopen BV. All optics have anti-fungal and anti-reflection coatings for maximum light transmission.

Stage

340 x 230 mm stage with an integrated 130 x 85 mm X-Y stage. Includes:

  • Metal insert for a 38 mm culture dish
  • Metal insert for a 54 mm cell-culture dish or a 76 x 26 mm slide
  • Metal insert for multiwell plates (127.76 x 86.48 mm)
  • Metal insert for Terasaki plates (83.3 x 58.0 mm)
  • Optional universal cell-culture holder

Condenser

Rotating six-position NA 0.55 condenser with iris diaphragm and a 26 mm working distance. It has a centering ring for 10x/20x, 40x and 60x phase-contrast objectives and DIC prisms for 10x/20x/40x and 60x objectives. Three filter holders accept 38 mm filters in the field of view. The condenser arm swings back for easy access to the stage and to make it easier to place tall items such as Petri dishes and flasks.

Lens and magnification changer

The lens changer has a 1.5x lens, providing intermediate magnifications 1.5 times higher than a standard objective. For example, magnification can be changed from 20x to 30x, 40x to 60x, or 60x to 90x without refocusing the sample.

Fluorescence filter module

A rotating six-position module accepts fluorescence filter sets.
