Delphi-X Observer for fluorescence

Cutting-edge microscopes for advanced fluorescence applications in life sciences. The extraordinary optical performance of the Delphi-X Observer™ makes it ideal for life science fluorescence applications where a high-performance optical system is required. The large field of view (22 mm) Super Wide Field eyepieces and the high numerical aperture of the 60 mm EIS parfocal Plan Fluarex objectives allow perfect observations with great resolving power and high quality color reproduction.

ERGONOMIC TILTING HEAD
Optional ergonomic type trinocular head from 0 to 35° supplied with SWF10x/22 mm eyepieces, inter-pupillary distance 47-78 mm and trinocular terminal with standard tube Ø 23.2 mm.

ENHANCED SYSTEM (EIS) WITH INFINITY CORRECTION
The Delphi-X Observer™ Enhanced Infinity Correction System (EIS) consists of widefield, high numerical aperture SFWF 10x22mm eyepieces and 60mm parfocals with a focal length of 200mm. The 200mm focal length reduces the angle of light rays passing through the optics and, as a direct result, significantly improves chromatic aberration corrections and the contrast of the images produced. The larger diameter objectives allow for much higher numerical apertures, improving the overall resolving capability of the optical system.

For all these reasons, Delphi-X Observer™ offers superior optical performance for the most demanding applications.

All objectives are 60mm parfocal and have a M25mm mounting thread. All optics are coated with anti-fungal and anti-reflective treatment for maximum light yield. All S40x, S50x, S60x and S100x objectives are retractable type.

The Delphi-X Observer™ comes standard with the EIS 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, S40x/0.65, and S100x/1.25 (oil immersion) infinity-corrected Plano-achromat objectives.

Optionally available: 2x/0.06, S50x/0.95 (oil immersion) and S60x/0.80 objective

FLUAREX SEMI-APOCHROMATIC FLAT OBJECTIVES
(recommended for anatomopathology and histopathology applications)
The Delphi-X Observer™ can also be supplied with the EIS 4x/0.13, 10x/0.30, 20x/0.50, S40x/0.75 and S100x/1.30 (oil immersion) infinity-corrected Fluarex Plan semi-apochromat objectives.

PLATEN
190 x 152 mm plate with 78 x 32 mm travel. with control knobs in right position. Designed for 2 slides. The standard stage has Scratch-resistant Gorilla glass coating. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal coating available on request. Plate with control knobs in left position is available on request

FOCUS SYSTEM
Coaxial axis coarse and fine focusing knobs, 100 graduations, 1 μm accuracy, 100 μm per rotation of micrometer, total travel range is approximately 35 mm. Supplied with stage limiting system to prevent damage to specimen and objectives. Coarse focusing is equipped with tension adjustment. Fine focusing knobs can be changed from left to right according to user preference.

BRIGHT FIELD CONDENSER
Height adjustable and centerable, folding Abbe type, with numerical openings NA 0.90 / 1.25 Abbe with numerical aperture and iris diaphragm identification marks

LIGHTING FOR FLUORESCENCE
The Delphi-X Observer™ fluorescence accessory is equipped with a rotating block that can hold up to 6 filter blocks and is supplied with a 100W HBO mercury vapor lamp illumination source for an intense and broad spectrum of light.

Supplied with standard fluorescence filter blocks for blue excitation (EX460-490 DM500 EM520LP) and green excitation (EX510-550 DM570 EM590LP), UV protection and external power supply

A wide range of fluorescence filter blocks are available.

TRANSMITTED LIGHTING
There are two transmitted Köhler illuminations available for the Delphi-X Observer™ microscope:

  • One based on a NeoLED ™ 3W Köhler type with adjustable intensity and with internal 100-240V power supply
  • One based on a 100W Köhler type halogen lamp with adjustable intensity and with an internal 100-240V power supply

Halogen transmitted illumination comes with 2 neutral density filters that can be attached or removed and allow for dimming of light intensity for all types of samples and a daylight filter. NeoLED™ transmitted illumination comes with 1 diffuse filter

NEOLED™
The innovative NeoLED™ design is a combination of a custom LED and a specially designed thin lens with a short focal length to achieve three main benefits:

  • More oblique light can be captured from the LED light source, significantly increasing the light output.
  • Less energy is required to achieve this level of light intensity
  • The larger aperture of NeoLED™ allows the optical system to produce images at higher resolutions, very close to the theoretical diffraction limit of optics.

DX.iCare-sensor-new

ICARE SENSOR
The unique iCare Sensor is developed to prevent unnecessary power loss. The microscope illumination is automatically switched off shortly after microscopists move away from their position.

CARRYING HANDLE
The carrying handle on the back of the microscope ensures safe transport of the microscope and the integrated tool and tool holder ensure that the right tool is always available.
