Description

This metallography kit combines the Euromex iScope IS.1053-PLMi microscope, a CMEX PRO 5 digital camera and ImageFocusLabs Grain Size software.

The software measures grain size in microstructure images according to ASTM E112 using the intercept method. It can use horizontal, vertical, circular and diagonal lines, and automatically calculates intercept lengths and counts, image-field area, average grain length and ASTM grain-size number (G). Multiple images can be measured and combined. Results include accuracy, standard deviation and total measured area, and can be saved with annotated images or exported to an Excel grain-size report.
