iScope® Darkfield: A Masterpiece in Darkfield Microscopy

The iScope® Darkfield is available in two configurations suitable for Biomedical and Life Sciences, High Schools and Universities where a cardioid mirror based darkfield is required.

EYE CLOSURES

• The iScope® IS.1153-EPL/DF with a finite optical system is supplied with wide field EWF10x extended field eyepieces with 20 mm field of view and adjustable diopters on the left eyepiece holder for finite correction systems (eyepiece holder Ø 23.2 mm).
• The iScope® IS.1153-PLi/DFi with an infinity corrected optical system (IOS) is supplied with widefield HWF10x plan eyepieces with a 22 mm field of view and adjustable diopters on both eyepiece tubes for infinity corrected (IOS) systems (Ø 30 mm eyepiece holder).

HEAD

• Siedentopf design trinocular with 30° inclined eyepiece holder
• Adjustable interpupillary distance between 48 and 76 mm
• The trinocular head of the IS.1153-EPL/DF model has an internal beam splitter with a 50% vision / 50% documentation ratio.
• The trinocular head of the IS.1153-PLi/DF - IS.1153-PLi/DFi models have a deflection lever that operates a beam splitter with a ratio of 100% vision / 0% documentation or 50% vision / 50% documentation.
• An eyepiece holder rotation system allows two viewing heights: high (431 mm) and low (397 mm).
• Trinocular heads have a Ø 23.2 mm documentation terminal

PLATINUMS
The iScope® Series is supplied with two types of stages (designed for 2 slides) :

• 140 x 160 mm mechanical stage with XY travel of 75 x 50 mm (in IS.1153-EPL/DF model)
• Mechanical stage 187/230 x 140 mm. without rack on X axis with travel of 79 x 52 mm. (on models IS.1153-PLi/DF - IS.1153-PLi/DFi).

The iScope® Series X-axis rackless stage has no protruding parts and is therefore safer in use. It also allows for smoother movement.

DARK FIELD CONDENSER (STANDARD)
A state-of-the-art condenser equipped with reflective cardioid mirrors, with an integrated 5 W high-power LED light source. Together with an S100x objective with built-in iris diaphragm, it forms a 1000x magnification darkfield solution. The power supply for the 5 W LED light source is built into the microscope. The darkfield condenser can be easily exchanged for a brightfield condenser which is also included in the equipment.

BRIGHTFIELD CONDENSER (INCLUDED)

• Abbe condenser NA 1.25 for bright field. Adjustable in height by rack and pinion system
• With slot for optional sliding plates with phase rings suitable for IOS 10x/20x or S40x/S100x plan phase oil immersion objectives for economical phase contrast
• With optimal numerical aperture indication for each magnification

PHASE CONTRAST BY LAMINATES ADAPTABLE TO BRIGHT FIELD CONDENSER (OPTIONAL)
There are two options available for cost-effective phase contrast. The first option includes a phase plate for 10x and S40x objectives, the 10x and S40x phase objectives, phase-centering telescopic eyepiece, and green filter. The second option includes a phase plate for 20x and S100x objectives, the 20x and S100x phase objectives (oil immersion), phase-centering telescopic eyepiece, and green filter. Options are available for the 160mm (Finite optics) and IOS (Infinity-corrected optics) versions of the iScope®.

APPROACH

• Coaxial axis coarse and fine focusing controls. Fine focusing with 200 graduations, 1 μm per graduation, 200 μm per rotation of fine focusing dial, total travel approx. 24 mm.
• With stage height limiting system to protect the sample and high magnification objectives
• Coarse focusing with tension adjustment

LIGHTING FOR BRIGHT FIELD

Supplied with:

• Transmitted illumination for bright field of type NeoLED 3W of adjustable intensity with internal power supply of 100-240 V
• NeoLED's innovative design offers larger apertures, allowing the iScope® microscope optical system to produce images at higher resolutions, very close to the theoretical diffraction limit of optics. Other benefits of NeoLED are
  • low energy consumption,
  • without warming up and
  • a long operating life
• Köhler illumination (with field diaphragm) in models with the IOS system provides 100% homogeneous illumination

ICARE SENSOR
This sensor helps prevent unnecessary energy loss. The microscope illumination switches off automatically shortly after the user leaves the microscope.

CABLE STORAGE SYSTEM - CSS
iScope microscopes allow the user to store the power cord on the back of the stand. A handle is also located on the back of the stand for convenient transport of the microscope.
