In stereoscopic microscopy it is very important to know how to determine the appropriate type of lighting based on the transparency of the sample to be observed.
In case the sample is not transparent ( opaque ), we will choose incident lighting. This type of lighting can be coaxial or at a certain angle.
If the object is transparent , we will choose diascopic or transmitted lighting . Sometimes, incident and transmitted lighting can be used at the same time. The shape of the object, its composition and its surface are also important parameters for the good choice of the lighting system in order to be able to view all the details of the sample to be observed.
Euromex offers a wide range of cold light sources with flexible or self-supporting light conductors, different halogen or LED lighting systems as well as fluorescent lighting.
These robust Euromex light sources can be fitted with flexible or self-supporting light guides, focusing lenses and coloured or polarising filters. The light guides can be one-, two- or three-armed or ring-shaped. Adapters are available for fixing the guides to the different heads of stereoscopic microscopes.
